Waste Heat Evaporators (WHE)

What Makes Cook Manufacturing Group
The Smart Choice In Waste heat Evaporators

Utilizing the normally unused energy of a dryer’s exhaust, a Waste Heat Evaporator can provide an additional revenue-adding process to your operation.  Typically used to concentrate an otherwise non-usable liquid stream from a plant’s operation, a Waste Heat Evaporator can provide an additional source of material for recombining with your product stream or selling as a by-product itself.  If the stream must be disposed of, the volume is greatly reduced in the concentration (water removal) process.  The condensate produced by the WHE is typically very clean requiring little if any treatment before discharging.

A Waste Heat Evaporator may also be configured to use auxiliary steam heating to supplement the heat from the dryer.  In some cases a WHE may be used exclusively on steam.  This flexibility allows the plant to use the evaporator independently from the dryer for other waste streams.  WHEs are not designed for handling food-grade products.  A true hybrid Waste Heat/Steam Evaporator can be designed for poor steam quality of the dryer exhaust.
